INTRODUCTION

Get your head IN the clouds!! Today you are going to become a cloud expert. You have been hired as a meteorologist for Indian Trail Elementary School. You will share your expertise on different types of white puffs in the sky.

TASK

Your job is to create a Cloud Catalog. It will consist of four drawings of different types of clouds along with a brief description of each cloud. Your catalog will need to answer some general cloud questions as well.

PROCESS

You will work with your team to research but everyone person will create their own catalog.
Page one : Should be a title page for your catalog complete with author's name.
Use the website provided in the resource section to research:
1) What are clouds made of?
2) Explain how clouds form.
3) Give 3 main types of clouds their own page
a)draw a picture
b)describe each cloud
c)explain the type of weather each cloud brings
4) Research the scientific name for a storm cloud and complete a page for it (including a,b,&c from 3)

Did you work cooperatively with your group?

Exchange your catalogs. Check your teammates' writing for neatness and accuracy.

CONCLUSION

You have completed your cloud catalog! You should understand what a cloud is and be able to describe the three major clouds (plus the scientific name for a thundercloud). You should be able to predict weather based on the cloud in the sky! Congratulations on completing your cloud quest!
